BioThane® is a polyester webbing with a waterproof coating, offering the strength of leather and the convenience of nylon — without their drawbacks. It doesn’t crack, fray, absorb odours, or require special care, making it a reliable choice for everyday dog accessories.



Are BioThane® collars and leads waterproof?

Yes. BioThane® is 100% waterproof, mud-resistant, and odour-resistant. Products can be wiped clean with just a damp cloth, which makes them appealing to customers with active dogs.





Will BioThane® cause skin irritation?

No — BioThane® is hypoallergenic and has a smooth, non-porous surface, making it safe for dogs with sensitive skin while preventing rubbing or fur loss. Our standard BioThane® collars and leads come fitted with colour-coated zinc die-cast hardware, which is strong, lightweight, and perfectly suited for everyday use, lake swims, mud and puddles.

For retailers serving coastal areas or customers whose dogs regularly swim in the sea, we also offer an Everlast Range upgrade. This features premium stainless steel, gold brass, or aluminium hardware, all of which provide enhanced resistance to saltwater corrosion and can significantly extend the lifetime of the product.







Are the products suitable for strong or large dogs?

Absolutely – all our collars and leads are suitable for large breeds and strong pullers. BioThane webbing has a break strength of 280-500kg, it's lightweight and strong material makes it perfect for dogs of all breeds and sizes, from small companions to powerful pullers.
