Our core trade collections have been carefully curated to make ordering straightforward. Retailers can choose from ready-made colour and hardware combinations across our Urban, Everlast Coastal and Signature Collections, while our Design Your Own range provides access to additional colours, hardware finishes, lengths and product options.

Understanding Our Collections

Urban Collection

Our Urban Collection pairs each bestselling BioThane® colour with a modern chrome plated hardware finish that best complements it.

These combinations have already been selected for you, creating coordinated products that are easy to stock, display and replenish. Urban hardware is suitable for everyday walking, rain, mud and freshwater exposure, and all sort of muddy adventures, but is not recommended for regular seaside use.

Everlast Coastal Collection

Our Everlast Coastal Collection combines waterproof BioThane® with premium corrosion-resistant hardware.

Retailers can choose between:

• Solid brass for a classic gold finish
• Stainless steel for a clean silver finish
• Aircraft-grade aluminium on selected Quick Release Collars and carabiner products

Everlast is our recommended range for coastal customers, frequent swimmers and dogs regularly exposed to seawater.

Signature Collections

Our Signature Collections bring together our more distinctive designs, including:

• Hand-finished Splatter
• Exclusive UV-printed patterns
• Bestselling two-tone combinations

Because our Splatter designs are applied by hand, every product will be slightly different. Variations in the position and density of the splatter are part of the individual finish rather than a fault.

Design Your Own

Our core collections contain a focused selection of designs chosen for straightforward retail stocking. Retailers looking for additional colours, hardware finishes, product widths or different lead lengths can access these through our Design Your Own range.

Design Your Own products are handmade to the selected specification and may be subject to different return and exchange terms.

Our Materials

Genuine BioThane® webbing

BioThane® is a premium polyester webbing protected by a waterproof coating. It offers the smart appearance and supple feel of leather without absorbing water, mud or odours. Genuine BioThane® is produced in the US and known to be the most superior waterproof webbing on the market to date, it has a great reputation and has been used in the military and medical care for many years before entering the pet sector. 

It is:

• Waterproof and non-porous
• Wipe-clean and easy to maintain
• Odour-resistant
• Flexible in wet and cold conditions
• Hypoallergenic
• Vegan-friendly
• Resistant to stretching, fraying and rotting

BioThane® is used across all our premium collars, leads, training leads and long lines.

Waterproof Coated Webbing

Some of our Long Lines are made from strong coated waterproof webbing. They provide the essential waterproof, wipe-clean and odour-resistant benefits customers want from an all-weather training line at a different lower price point from genuine BioThane® webbing, which is also available for stores that wish to offer the more premium version for their Long Lines.

Although the two materials may look similar, our Waterproof Webbing range should not be described as BioThane®.

Premium Polypropylene Rope

Our Classic and Premium Rope BioThane® products use soft 10mm polypropylene rope paired with coordinating BioThane® webbing details.

The OEKO-TEX® certified rope is quick-drying and resistant to rot and mildew. Unlike BioThane®, rope is not completely waterproof, but it dries quickly and is easy to care for.

Our Hardware

Urban Plated Hardware

Our plated hardware provides an attractive finish for everyday collars and leads. Available finishes across our wider range include:

• Silver
• Black
• Rose Gold
• Antique Brass
• Rainbow or Neo-Chrome

Within the Urban Collection, the most suitable finish has already been paired with each BioThane® colour.

Plated hardware is suitable for rain, mud and freshwater, but regular exposure to saltwater can cause the finish to tarnish or corrode after time. Customers who frequently visit the coast or for retailers based by the coast should best choose our Everlast Collection.

Solid Brass

Our solid brass hardware provides a premium gold appearance and excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion.

As a natural metal, brass can gradually darken or develop a patina. This is a normal characteristic of solid brass and does not mean the fitting has failed. Its shine can be restored using a suitable brass polish.

Stainless Steel

Our stainless steel hardware provides a premium silver finish with enhanced resistance to rust and saltwater corrosion.

It is an excellent choice for coastal customers who prefer silver hardware or want a low-maintenance alternative to plated fittings.

Aircraft-Grade Aluminium

Selected Quick Release Collars and locking carabiner products use strong, aircraft-grade aluminium hardware.

Aluminium provides excellent strength without unnecessary weight and offers enhanced resistance to corrosion, making it particularly suitable for active and coastal dogs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does waterproof mean the entire product is rust-proof?

Waterproof refers primarily to the BioThane® or coated webbing material. The corrosion resistance of the fittings depends on the hardware selected.

Urban plated hardware is designed for everyday use but is not recommended for regular seawater exposure. Everlast solid brass, stainless steel and aluminium hardware provide enhanced corrosion resistance and are the recommended options for coastal customers.

Which hardware should coastal retailers choose?

We recommend the Everlast Coastal Collection for stores serving coastal communities, frequent beach walkers or customers whose dogs regularly swim in the sea.

Solid brass provides a gold finish, while stainless steel provides a silver finish. Selected Quick Release Collars use aircraft-grade aluminium buckles with stainless steel fittings.

Does Everlast hardware still need to be cared for?

Yes. Even corrosion-resistant hardware benefits from basic care.

After exposure to seawater, sand or heavy dirt, customers should rinse the product in fresh water and allow it to dry. This helps preserve the appearance and smooth operation of the fittings.

Is plated hardware poor quality?

No. Our chrome plated hardware is a strong and attractive choice for everyday walks, rain, mud and freshwater environments.

The difference is its resistance to repeated saltwater exposure. Everlast hardware uses solid or corrosion-resistant metals rather than a plated surface, making it more suitable for coastal use.

Can retailers choose a different hardware finish?

Core Urban products are supplied in predetermined colour and hardware combinations to make ordering and merchandising easier.

Alternative hardware finishes can be selected through our Design Your Own range. Everlast products offer a choice of gold solid brass or silver stainless steel where available.

Are all colours available in every product?

Our core trade catalogue contains a curated selection of bestselling colours and designs. This keeps the range easier to stock and replenishment more straightforward.

Additional BioThane® colours and combinations are available through Design Your Own, although availability can vary by material width and product construction.

Will the colour look exactly the same as it does on screen?

We photograph our products as accurately as possible, but colours can appear different depending on screen settings, lighting and device.

Small variations may also occur between material batches. Retailers planning a larger coordinated display can contact us if they need help selecting colours or matching products.

Will matching collars and leads be the same colour?

Products ordered using the same named BioThane® colour are designed to coordinate. Ordering matching products together provides the best consistency, although minor batch variations may occasionally occur.

Splatter and printed designs can show natural variations in pattern placement.

Are Splatter products identical?

No. Every Splatter product is finished by hand, so the placement, size and density of the markings will vary slightly. These differences make every collar and lead individual and are an intentional part of the collection.

We ensure the splatter will fully bond with the Biothane webbing, so it doesn't peel off and can widthstand as many adventures as the product itself.

 

Can BioThane® colours fade?

BioThane® is highly colour-resistant, but prolonged exposure to strong sunlight, chemicals or insect repellents may gradually affect some colours, particularly very bright or neon shades. Products should be stored away from continuous direct sunlight when not in use.

How should BioThane® be cleaned?

Most dirt can be removed using warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge. BioThane® does not require machine washing or specialist leather treatments. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and products that could damage the coating or hardware finish.

Is BioThane® suitable for sensitive dogs?

BioThane® is non-porous, hypoallergenic and does not retain moisture, dirt or bacteria in the same way as absorbent materials. Its smooth surface makes it a popular option for dogs with sensitive skin or coats. Correct sizing remains important to prevent unnecessary rubbing.

Is BioThane® chew-proof?

No collar or lead material is completely chew-proof. BioThane® is strong and durable, but determined chewing can damage the protective coating and internal webbing. Customers should not leave collars, leads or long lines within reach of dogs that are likely to chew them.

Which colours should a new retailer begin with?

Our Urban, Everlast and Signature Collections have already been curated around proven colours and designs.

Retailers who want a ready-made starting assortment can choose one of our 24-piece bundles or our fully stocked FSDU. Individual products can then be reordered as required, with no minimum order on top-ups.
